The number of crimes in Sri Lanka has increased in the last few years. We heard there were many news about murder cases and drug dealing cases with the news every day. The Police department always trying to reduce the rate of crimes at their best. But we can see those criminals still doing their jobs without fear of the law. These crime's impact affects not only internally, but internationally also. Many countries hesitate to send their people to send to Sri Lanka for tourism wise or business wise. Therefore a permanent solution should be taken by the government.

However, there are no any records that capital punishment has implemented after 1976 in Sri Lanka. Criminals had to go to the prison for their lifetime instead of Capital punishment. While capital punishment has few methods, Sri Lanka used the hang up method.

My opinion is capital punishment should implement for headmasters of criminals. It will useless to punish their followers. Followers will hesitate to do crime activities when their headmasters hanged up. Otherwise crimes will continue day by day.

At the conclusion, implementing the capital punishment is the best solution for the crime situation in Sri Lanka. The Government should save young generation from drug dealers and also from murders. As another solution, the government should think about the school leavers' education system. Because, The trend of the joining criminal groups is high among the school leavers. I believe that, the government turned correct path to terminate crimes in Sri Lanka by the president decided to resume the Capital Punishment.
